The World Urban Campaign (WUC) is an advocacy and partnership platform to raise awareness about positive urban change in order to achieve green, productive, safe, healthy, inclusive, and well planned cities. Its goal is to place the Urban Agenda at the highest level in development policies. It is coordinated by UN-Habitat and driven by a large number of committed partners – currently 210 partners and networks – from around the world.

Member (GNDR)

Global Network of Civil Society Organizations for Disaster Reduction

“The Global Network of Civil Society Organisations for Disaster Reduction (GNDR) is the largest international network of organisations committed to working together to improve the lives of people affected by disasters world-wide.”

Launched in 2007, GNDR was founded on the principle that civil society achieves a far greater impact when working collectively to strengthen the resilience of vulnerable people. The network was created in response to a critical concern among civil society organizations: that global frameworks, such as the Hyogo Framework for Action, often fail to translate into practical, front-line change where vulnerable communities actually live and work. To bridge this gap, GNDR focuses heavily on localized, community-level resilience.

Shehersaaz joined this prestigious international network in 2021. As an active GNDR member, we collaborate with global peers to share localized learning and best practices, driving impact through targeted communication and capacity-building initiatives. Working alongside National Focal Points and Regional Advisory Groups, Shehersaaz helps set the agenda for systemic change, steering strategic priorities and leading the localized implementation of GNDR’s global strategies within Pakistan and the wider region.
