Almas Saleem – Executive Director
Ms. Almas Saleem started her career with an Urban Development Project ‘Rawalpindi Solid Waste and Environmental Enhancement Project (SWEEP)’. In her later years of professional career, she worked as the City Manager for Urban Poverty Alleviation Program and as National Coordinator of Shehersaaz. During her 18 year long career, Almas has worked with UN agencies, International and national nongovernment organizations and consulting firms in different capacities including as: manager, researcher, trainer, and consultant. She has successfully demonstrated her professional skills to network with government and nongovernment institutions, academia, media and stakeholders for numerous development initiatives in a collaborative manner. She is currently the Executive Director of Shehersaaz.
Abdul Shakoor Sindhu – Chief Technical Advisor
Abdul Shakoor Sindhu has been working in the development field, in different capacities, for last two decades. He is a development practitioner, researcher, writer, public speaker, human settlement and development planner; conceiver, designer, strategist and manager of development, environmental, Climate Change Adaptation, Disaster Risk Management and Disaster Risk Reduction Projects and Programs; trainer and mentor for a large number of civil society groups, activists and students; guest lecturer at Allama Iqbal Open University; development analyst; amateur layout designer, photographer and film maker; freelance consultant, founding member of Shehersaaz; former member Steering Committee and Board of Directors of Duryog Nivaran- The South Asian Network for Disaster Risk Reduction. He is currently the Chief Technical Advisor of Shehersaaz and is also working as a freelance consultant.

Fakhira Khanam – Institutional Development Expert
Fakhira Khanam is a development sector professional here in Pakistan. During almost 13 years of professional career she has gained diversified experience of working with multilayered stakeholders, government, donors, and partner NGOs both at national and international levels. Her specializations and experiences include policy research, program management and new programs development, institutional development, gender and governance analysis and planning, policy documentation review, capacity building needs assessment, program evaluations, donor and research report writing. Her core competence is development programs planning and coordination with multilayered stakeholders. Fakhira has served Akhter Hameed Khan Resource Centre as the Chief Executive Officer and Secretary of the Board of Directors.
